How Do I Budget For Architectural Design Fees?

Architects’ fees range from 8-15% of cost of construction depending on the level or services chosen. The type and size of the project will also be a factor in this cost. Typically, the larger the scope, the lower the percentage, due to economies of scale.

Preliminary Design

Maybe you have a clear image in your mind or maybe you just know you need more room and a fresh look. We capture your aesthetic and functional needs in designs that will make a statement for decades to come. We also ensure your home will be marketable should you ever decide to sell it. Design Development

Once we’ve completed the preliminary design phase, we will start to fill in the practical details of your interior and exterior designs, including materials and systems. At this stage, we make sure our designs will work with the landscape and that everything will meet local building codes.

Construction Documentation

Before you can begin construction, your designs must be translated into Construction Documents, which contractors use for permitting, bidding, and constructing the design. We take care of everything to make sure no detail is lost in translation and each step is managed with maximum efficiency. It is our goal to ensure each process runs as smoothly as possible.
